The Centre for Research in Emergency Services & Training (CREST) strives to bring together the latest research and development that already exist within our emergency services. I am delighted to be involved in this innovative Centre which has been identified as meeting a clear need in relation to providing a multi-disciplinary perspective in the emergency services research whilst also bridging the theoretical and practical aspects of the profession. Indeed, we have much to be proud of already within our emergency response services and we hope that by providing a platform for exchange and interaction between these bodies we can build on their proud traditions.
